CEREC© Crowns

CEREC© – one visit dentistry

We are pleased to offer our patients an amazing new technology that provides near perfect tooth restoration in just one visit!

With our CEREC 3-D services, patients receive the most superior and convenient treatment available today for restorations such as crowns, fillings, implants and veneers -- ALL in a SINGLE appointment. (No need for impressions or temporary crowns).

CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.

  • Chairside means… our dentists can provide your treatment a single visit. While you sit comfortably, an image of your tooth is scanned into a computer, allowing for the creation of a highly durable, color-matched restoration designed to your tooth’s precise specifications.
  • Economical means… just that! Save time and money. CEREC crowns and restorations are the most cost-effective form of tooth restoration available. Plus, with CEREC, there is no need for impressions, temporary crowns or multiple visits.
  • Restoration means… bringing your tooth back to nearly original strength and function.
  • Esthetic means….simply beautiful. CEREC dental materials closely match that of a real tooth. No more gold and other metal in your mouth. CEREC also allows your dentist to preserve your healthy gum tissue and because they are bio-compatible, you can eat both hot and cold food comfortably.

The Procedure

After decayed and weakened tooth tissue is removed, your dentist prepares your tooth for restoration. CEREC then uses a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera to take an image of your existing tooth, scanning it into a computer. Next, your dentist will design the contours of the restoration via computer with your 3D dental image. While you relax, diamond coated instruments are used to mill a ceramic bloc, perfectly reproducing the computer generated design. About 15 minutes later, the new CEREC restoration is placed in your mouth, fitted, polished and bonded for performance. Since the design is reproduced exactly to specifications, a perfect and comfortable fit is insured. Lastly, your new tooth is expertly polished, resulting in a smooth and natural result. The whole procedure will probably take no more than a couple of hours.
